I had a great experience with Dollens getting an electric charger installed. Joshua arrived on time and did great work. Very friendly and I could tell he cared about the quality of the work and making sure it all looked good. Would definitely use Dollens again.

After Dollens Electric replaced my service panel, I found I couldn't open the panel cover. The culprit was stucco left all over the hinges. I brought this to Jason’s attention, and he promised to send someone out to fix it, but no one ever showed up. I sent another message to follow up and was completely ignored. Very disappointed in the lack of communication and follow-through.

Dollens Electric exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I called them out to diagnose an issue with my solar inverter that was throwing an error code, and Josh was the technician who handled everything. He quickly identified that one of the electronic boards in the inverter had failed. What really stood out was that he didn’t stop there—he worked directly with the solar inverter manufacturer to secure replacement parts, which I honestly assumed would not be covered under warranty. Josh was upfront about the extended wait time for solar inverter parts, which I appreciated. A few weeks later, he came back—not with just the replacement board, but with a completely brand new inverter that the manufacturer had sent out. He explained that the cost would be slightly higher due to the full inverter installation, but I was more than happy with that outcome considering the upgrade. The level of dedication and professionalism was impressive. Josh completed the solar inverter installation in the pouring rain and even had to return for a follow-up visit when the system didn’t immediately come online. Again, he was out there troubleshooting in the rain without hesitation. On his final visit, he went a step further and checked the solar panel system performance, making sure we were getting proper energy output and educating me on what to watch for with our 10-year-old solar panels. If you’re looking for a reliable electrician, solar inverter repair, or solar system maintenance, I highly recommend Dollens Electric. Josh went above and beyond every step of the way, and it’s rare to find that level of service and commitment. As a bonus, I’d recommend Josh specifically—not just because we share the same name, but because he truly delivered exceptional customer service and expertise.

Can't say enough great things about this team! We were referred to them by a friend whose Contact for them in her phone says "My Awesome Electricians" - very true! The entire team, from the office to the junior techs are easy to work with. Unlike many contractors, they communicate clearly and often, about schedule, price, work to be done. And best of all they do EXCELLENT work! They replaced our Zinsco panel which was preventing us from getting homeowners insurance. Everything went smoothly: scheduling, work, inspection and they even have a stucco guy who works with them to do stucco repair when it's all done (he was good too!). Not sure about what happened with the 1-star reviews they received on Yelp because this local family owned business is well run, honest and very talented. They are very skilled and no, not cheap, but they charge a fair price--we got several quotes and they were all similar. Want it done right the first time? These are the guys to hire. Thank you Jason, Josh, Elijah, Brian and Josephine - you're now in our contact list as My Awesome Electrician too!

Joshua came soon after calling to make an appointment, expeditiously assessed the problem with the circuit breaker, and added a surge protector in the main panel. Part of the problem was needed to be remedied by PG&E, and he was able to ascertain their service in the afternoon. All in all, the matter was quickly resolved.

I have used the services of this company twice in the last year. Each time I have been blown away with the expertise, work ethic and diligence to complete jobs with total customer satisfaction. Their pricing is also a plus! I whole heartedly recommend this local family business whose motto should be “ Work done with pride and excellence”!
